    Foam silicone rubber is liquid before vulcanization and suitable for potting material. The foam after vulcanization can be used for a long time at -60~159 C, and it can be used at 150, 72 hours, or 60 to ten 70 C for ten times.
     
    Foam silicone rubber is an ideal lightweight material because of its high thermal stability, good heat insulation, insulation, moisture resistance and shock resistance, especially in high frequency. Used in various electronic components, instruments, meters, flying body instrument wheels and so on, it can play a "moisture-proof, shock-proof, anti-corrosion" three-proof "protection role. In addition, it can be used as filling material for insulation sandwich, floating material in salt spray atmosphere and sealing material. Foam silicone rubber can also be used as a filling, repairing and material for orthopedic surgery in medicine.
     
    Flame retardant room temperature vulcanized foam silicone rubber DC3-6548 was developed to meet the fire protection requirements of transmission lines. The foam silicone rubber is mainly used for fireproofing and sealing of wires and cables passing through holes (such as roofs, walls, buildings, etc.). Its flame retardancy is very good. Its limit oxygen index reaches 39 (most plastic limit oxygen index is only 20), and its service life is as long as 50 years. The flame retardant RTV foam silicone rubber has been widely used in nuclear power plants, electronic computer centers, offshore oil extraction devices and other harsh environmental conditions, or places with high fire safety requirements.
     
    Two-component room temperature vulcanized silicone rubber is the most common type of room temperature vulcanized silicone rubber. Its raw rubber is usually hydroxyl-terminated polysiloxane, which is then combined with other compounding agents and catalysts to form a compound. The viscosity range of this compound can range from 100% to 1 million%.
     
    The vulcanization reaction of two-component room temperature vulcanized silicone rubber is not initiated by moisture in the air, but by catalyst. Generally, the raw silica gel, filler and crosslinking agent are packed as one component, the catalyst is packed as another component alone or in other combinations, but the catalyst and crosslinking agent must be packed separately. Regardless of the packaging method, curing occurs only when the two components are completely mixed together. The commonly used crosslinking agent is tetraethyl orthosilicate and the catalyst is tin dibutyl dilaurate. Adding appropriate fillers and additives according to the nature of the required final product. Dibutyltin dilaurate is a moderately toxic substance in many countries. It is prohibited to add dibutyltin in food and plasma bags. It has been largely replaced by low toxic octyltin.
     
    The curing time of two-component condensation room temperature vulcanized silicone rubber mainly depends on the type, amount and temperature of the catalyst. The more the amount of catalyst used, the faster the sulfidation, and the shorter the shelf time. At room temperature, shelf time is usually several hours. To prolong shelf time of rubber, cooling method can be used. It takes about one day for the two-component condensated room temperature vulcanized silicone Hawthorn rubber to be fully cured at room temperature, but only one hour at 150 C. The curing rate can be significantly increased by the synergistic effect of accelerator gamma-aminopropyl triethoxysilane.
     
    Two-component room temperature vulcanized silicone rubber can keep elasticity for a long time in the temperature range of 165-250 C. It has excellent electrical properties and chemical stability, water resistance, ozone resistance, climate aging resistance, simple usage and strong process applicability. Therefore, it is widely used as filling and moulding materials. After being coated and encapsulated with room temperature vulcanized silicone rubber, various electronic and electrical components can play a protective role of moisture proof (anti-corrosion, anti-shock, etc.). It can improve performance and stabilize parameters. Two-component room temperature vulcanized silicone rubber is especially suitable for deep filling materials and has faster vulcanization time, which is superior to one-component room temperature vulcanized silicone rubber.
